DEATH BEGINS IN THE COLON : The Spastic Colon ~ Constipation and Constriction

Constipation is one of the most common gastrointestinal complaints in the United States. More than 4 million Americans have frequent constipation, accounting for 2.5 million physician visits a year.

The colon is a sewerage system, but by neglect and abuse it becomes a cesspool. When it’s clean and normal we are well and happy.

Let it stagnate it will:

  • Distill the poisons of decay, fermentation and putrefaction, into the blood, poisoning the brain and nervous system so that we become mentally depressed and irritable.
  • Poison the heart so that we are weak and listless.
  • Poison the lungs so that the breath is foul.
  • Poison the digestive organs so that we are distressed and bloated.
  • Poison the blood so that the skin is sallow and unhealthy.

In short, every organ of the body is poisoned, and we age prematurely, look and feel old, the joints are stiff and painful, neuritis, dull eyes and a sluggish brain overtake us; the pleasure of living is gone.

I was talking with my 9-year-old friend this morning about food and I think he finally gets it. Here’s what I said in words a young child could understand. Since we are about 80% water we need to eat the water foods, like fruits and veggies. When we eat the white bread and pasta type food it’s like eating sawdust. Think of how dry sawdust is, now think about that being in your body and trying to poop it out. This was a very simple example and it got through to him. He was still talking about the sawdust and water foods on the way to school.

It’s really hard to make every meal a good one. We are not perfect but we are trying harder than ever before. We made a decision to act now, before it’s too late. Prevention is better than cure !!!

It is critical to offer our digestive system ideal food that will nourish it and keep our colon clean, avoiding constipation. Relying on over the counter quick fixes will not result in long term good health.

Here are my recommendations:

- If you currently have digestive issues call us today for your Initial Consult and Colonic session.

- Increase vegetables in your diet (water foods) - attend our Monthly RAW FOOD Demonstrations.

- Choose "live food" over "food-like" products.

**If you recognize the benefits of maintaining a healthy digestive track try adding the following items to your diet:

- Increase both soluble & insoluble fiber from whole foods. You might choose to add a fiber supplement.

- You will also benefit with a Whole Food Multi product made from whole fruits and veggies - (minus the fiber*), digestive enzymes, prebiotics, probiotics, herbs and spice.

* Fiber is good but not if it’s a whole food multi. If it’s in your vitamin you are getting less of the good “nutrition” ingredients. Take fiber alone, not in a supplement.

The Healthy Colon

Healthy ColonYour colon or large intestine is a hollow, tube-like organ, made up of muscle structure that moves toxic materials along by wave-like motions, known as peristalsis action. It is approximately five to six feet long. When a person is constipated, the walls of the colon are
generally packed or lined with accumulated feces. Extended periods of intestinal overloading caused by the avoidance of an immediate response to the call of nature generally results
in constipation. The colon can neither absorb nor eliminate properly in this condition.

When waste from blood arrives at the inner wall of the colon, hardened feces prevents passage of this waste. Blood circulates through every organ in the body and reaches every cell; therefore, toxins in the blood contaminate the entire body. Proper body tissue cleansing is begun by thorough bowel cleansing.

The natural immune system can only be built up in a clean body—a body with a minimal amount of accumulated toxic material. The degree of harmful bacteria, parasites, and other dangerous organisms in the colon vary greatly among individuals. What one person is able to hold in the bowel without obvious effects may be hazardous to others.  Remember, colon cancer ranks next to heart disease as the most frequent cause of death in the United States today.

We need to take good care of our digestive sysetm, otherwise it will be affected in many ways. Diarrhea, gas, abdominal pains, vomiting, cramps, indigestion and bloating  are sure signs that prompt us to be on high alert.

Here are 7 ways to maintain good digestive system:

1. Maintain a Healthy Diet Consisting of 51% RAW FOOD
Eat a wide variety of foods is the first step towards developing good and healthy eating habits. By doing so, your digestive system absorbs all the different nutritional requirements.

2. Eat More Fiber
High fiber diet improves gastrointestinal health, thus reducing the risk of constipation and stimulating food digstion.

The best source of fiber and the easiest way to consume it is to eat more fruits, vegetables, beans and whole grains.

3. Maintain Healthy Weight
One of the benefits of maintaining a healthy weight is it lowers the risk of coronary diseases like heart attack and stroke, diabetes and hypertension.

4. Be Active
Exercise often, don’t be a couch potato.

5. Concentrate on Eating
Enjoy your meals!!  Don’t do something else like watching TV, doing office paperwork, or sit on computer. This lead to the upsetting your stomach.

6. Drink PLENTY of Alkaline-Based Water
Water helps to soften waste material in the gut and prevents constipation which, if left unchecked, could lead to digestive stress.

7. Take Vitamins and Minerals
Get all your vitamins and minerals from foods you consume and not from supplements. Not to say supplements are bad, just that your that your body needs are available from the foods that you eat. We are heavy believers of "liquid trace minerals" and will be happy to offer suggestions during your session.

Colon Dysfunction

Abnormal ColonConstipation or diarrhea is usually the first sign of trouble. These danger signs, along with foul-smelling stool or gas may be passed. Normal stool color is honey golden brown, and should not have an offensive odor. During constipation, you may observe a darkening of the stool because of the longer transition time to elimination. The colon will distribute the poisons of decay, fermentation and putrefaction in the blood.

Colon therapy is not a cure, but is a valuable procedure and treatment for a wide variety of different colon conditions. A toxic bowel is the source of many health problems.

By stripping down the old toxic mucus lining from the colon, we remove the number one source of disease in the body. In addition, we open up the bowel to a more efficient means of waste elimination and nutrient absorption, both of which are essential to any lasting healing process.

This is also the first step toward normalizing the bowel so that friendly bacteria returns to keep the colon safe from putrefaction and auto-intoxication.

Many surgeons and physicians are beginning to understand the importance of bowel care in the prevention of disease.
